About Me
Grimiss Ambient is a personal project focused on creating long-form ambient soundscapes for sleep, relaxation, and deep focus.
After moving to Denmark, I began the project with the discovery of a reel-to-reel tape recorder in a second-hand shop.
I was immediately struck by the warmth and character of the analog tape. This quickly became a central part of my creative process and led to a collection of vintage equipment, from cassette decks to ghetto blasters and vintage tape-based analog gear.
Using analog tape shaped the sound of my ambient album, The Still. The album is a collection of ten songs built from layered guitar and synth loops, tape textures, using a blend of analog and digital tools.
If you’d like to explore more, The Still is available as a free download on Bandcamp.
My journey into the ambient world has since evolved into the Focus • Relax • Sleep series. This is a collection of long-form soundscapes and ambient noises designed to be immersive, unobtrusive, and easy to listen to, whether used for rest, focus, or quiet background listening.
