More About FRS
FRS is built around a simple idea. It is about creating a consistent, unobtrusive sound environment that supports focus, calm and rest.
I started the series as a way to create space for myself. It gave me something I could return to when I needed to slow down, concentrate, or switch off. Over time, it became a collection of pieces shaped by the same intention, to sit quietly in the background without demanding attention.
Each track evolves gradually, with no sudden changes or sharp transitions. The sound moves gently, creating a calm and predictable atmosphere that is easy to stay with over longer periods of time.
Some pieces lean toward soft tonal layers, while others explore texture, noise, or repetition. All are designed to feel natural, immersive, and unobtrusive.
Rather than drawing attention, the music is there to support whatever you are doing, whether that is working, relaxing, meditating, or preparing for sleep.
People use FRS in different ways, including:
-
supporting deep focus and work
-
creating a calm environment for relaxation
-
winding down before sleep
-
masking background noise or distractions
-
providing a consistent sound backdrop for tinnitus
Each release follows the same idea. Slow movement using subtle variation, analog tape saturation, wow & flutter and sounds that sit comfortably in the background.
You can explore my FRS video library here - try letting one play and allow it to settle naturally into your space.
Please note that while many listeners find these sounds helpful and beneficial, they are not a substitute for medical advice, or treatment.
